So as all CRX owners eventually with replace their Climate Control unit with a new housing, a delete, or a gauge pod--all owners will be subject to winning or losing the lottery of removing the factory cables from the housing. The mounts are not meant for servicing, and the clamps break most of the time.
Here is a solution for that :)
For sale here is an all new gear housing with a built-in precision clamp groove and lid for the cables. It makes the cable reinstalling completely simple, straight-forward, effective. It's a new, 100% solid, black, durable ABS plastic assembly. It swaps right over to your replacement HVAC housing and gets to work.
It also has an integrated stability brace, which further prevents your HVAC unit from flexing, and further reinforces it.
Each order comes with 1 housing, with 2 lids in the assembly, and mounting screws. Note that you will re-use all the factory gears, arms, and shafts from your OEM gearbox.
Please note that your housing will be BLACK. The red parts are shown to provide contrast with the OEM pieces. Please note the OEM assembly shown in this listing is for demonstration and function purposes only and is NOT for sale. You are buying the gear housing with cable clamp only.
